Booking Form for visit to Parham House and Estate
Parham House & Estate, West Sussex
Wednesday 08 May 2019

Parham is a fine Elizabethan House set in an ancient deer park below the South Downs. The estate comprises 875 acres including 4 acres of walled garden and 7 acres of Pleasure Grounds.

Bought in 1922 by the Honourable Clive Pearson and his wife, Alicia, it was in a sad state of repair. They, followed by their daughter, Veronica Tritton, set about restoring it over the next 60 years filling the interior with period furniture and works of art. Many items were purchased because they had originally been at Parham or had some connection to the house. Veronica Tritton’s great-niece, Lady Emma Barnard and her family, live there today.

The 158ft Long Gallery is the third longest in a private house in England.  Visit the mediaeval St Peter’s Church which is a short stroll from the house, also the turf and brick, Veronica’s Maze built in 1991 – the ‘Year of the Maze’.
