Booking Form for visit to Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery
and Barber Institute of Fine Arts

Monday 08 July 2019

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is our 1st stop.  It has the largest collection of pre-Raphaelite masterpieces in the world and in its 40 galleries there are other acclaimed artists as varied as Botticelli and Picasso.  The collections also cover silver, sculpture, ceramics, ancient and social history.  We will have a selective tour, of course!  The building which opened in 1885 is Grade 2 listed and has an Edwardian tearoom.

Barber Institute of Fine Arts is close to our 1st stop and is situated on Birmingham University campus.  We will find an extensive collection of Old Masters and modern classics.  Besides major paintings there are pastels, watercolours, sculpture, decorative art, portrait miniatures and ancient + medieval coins.  The Institute is in a listed Art Deco building.
