Meetings are held at The Kings Church Raans Road Amersham.

The Arts Society Amersham was founded in 1996 and  has grown steadily since then to over 260 members. We meet on the first Thursday of the month. Doors open just after 7pm for free tea, coffee and biscuits followed at 8pm by an hour's lecture by an accredited Arts Society lecturer.

The Kings Church is a superb modern venue with effective central heating and air conditioning, plenty of comfortable seating and two screens so our members have an excellent view wherever they sit.  Each lecture attracts over 150 people and we always welcome guests for £8.00 - cash prefered as card reader is not always available..

The new programme starts each year after the October AGM. It includes around 7 visits to a range of venues - museums, art galleries and places of artistic interest, as well as 10 evening lectures and an annual society holiday.

You can read more about our activities on the LECTURES and VISITS webpages. [click on the blue text to go straight there]

We belong to the Chiltern Hills Area of The Arts Society which provides training for our committee members and we participate in its activities.  The remit of The Art Society was revised in August 2025 and can be found in Documents.
